Gerry Varriano

1962 - 2022

Gerry Varriano, 60, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022. He was born Aug. 9, 1962, in Greensburg, a son of Patricia Haire Varriano, of Greensburg, and the late Frank J. Varriano. Gerry was a member of St. Paul Church and owner of Varriano Refrigeration Service. He had a lifelong love of music and loved listening to all types. He was gifted with being able to play several instruments, including the guitar and piano. Though his love for music was important to him, Gerry's love and dedication to his children and grandchildren will be what he will be remembered for. His greatest joy was the time spent surrounded by those he loved. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Varriano. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Martha A. "Marty" Varriano; children, Anthony J. Varriano, of Greensburg, Mark J. Golden (Abbe Auen), of Newark, Ohio, and Casey Barbish (Edward), of Latrobe; grandchildren, Milana, Gianna and Audriana Barbish; brother-in-law, Peter Miller Jr. (Karen), of Port Vue; nephew, Peter Miller III; niece, Ashley Dull (Brian) and their children, Bentley and Infinity; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Gerry from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Pantalone Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
