Predeceased by her parents, John & Matilda Laforce; brother, Gordon LaForce; grandson, Andrew & great-grandson, Domenic.
Survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas E. Burse; sister, Frances Richardson; brother, Edwards LaForce; children, Laurie Clarkson, Deborah Burse, & Thomas Burse; grandchildren, Jennifer, Anthony, Raina, Michael, & Paul; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Juliana, & Hayden; several nieces & nephews; many friends, including lifelong best friend Beverly Roberts.
Gert loved going out to dinner with her husband every Friday and she was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed gardening, bird & deer watching, doing puzzles, watching her soap operas and spending time with her beloved dogs. Gert enjoyed many adventures such as helicopter & hot air balloon rides, horseback riding and motorcycle rides.
Gert's feisty spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Friends are invited to meet the family on Wednesday, October 29th, from 4-7 PM at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 S. Kings Hwy, Rochester, NY 14617).
