Gertrude Sophie "Gertie" JACOVITCH

Age 90, of Inver Grove Heights, MN Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1932, in South Saint Paul, MN to Dominick and Dominicka Sobaszkiewicz. Gertie was truly one of a kind. She was sassy, funny, sharp-witted, stubborn, generous, and had a special place in her heart for babies and children. She ran Gert's Daycare, for many years, in Inver Grove Heights. She loved her family, friends, good Polish food, casinos, and tchotchkes. She is preceded in death by daughters Terri and Trudy; parents; and brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughter Tina; and sons Tony, Tim, and Bobby; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at 12:00 pm, with visitation starting at 11:00 am, at The Church of St. Patrick's, 3535 72nd Street East, Inver Grove Heights, MN.
