Died: September 21, 2025 in Sterling, Illinois
Gertrude "Trudie" Lowrie, 97, of Sterling died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Morningside of Sterling.
Trudie was born August 1, 1928 in Webster City, IA, the daughter of John and Rosina (Brown) Leopard. She married Raymond Lowrie on September 5, 1964 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2004. She was a faithful member of Open Door Community Church, Sterling.
Trudie and Raymond never had any children of their own, but were survived by nieces and nephews: Richard Rubright, Lorrie Leopard, Cherie Leopard Johnson, John J. Leopard, Tammy Leopard Gutierrez, Barbara Ainsworth, Lester Pashon Jr, Donald Hart Jr, and David Hart, and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in deathy by her parents; her brother Johnie Leopard; sisters Lillian Marie Hart, Rosemary Carter and Betty Pashon.
Cremation rites have been accorded by the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. No services will be held and private burial will take place at a later date.
