Gertrude “Sue” Rose Rudd, 77, of Bonifay, FL, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family and pets.
Born on January 26, 1948, in Nyack, New York, she spent a great deal of her life caring for her family and loved ones.
She was often found in her garden, surrounded by her plants and flowers and enjoying the birds and wildlife in her yard. She loved the outdoors and savored her time spent camping, fishing, and crabbing. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and spoil them with her cooking and baking.
Sue is survived by her sons, Clifton Glass (Roxanne) and Daniel Glass (Jodi); stepchildren, Pam Brock (Donnie), Debbie Kent (Joey), Brenda Rudd, Wanda Owens (Carl), Dennis Rudd (Carol), and Newton Rudd (Malisswa). She was a proud Nana to Emily and Liam, as well as step-Nana to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Bobby Edwards (Abby), Terri Neel, Liz Collins (Rick), and Joan Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Viola Edwards; her husband of 25 years, Dannie N. Rudd, Sr; and her brothers, Michael Edwards and Dennis Carter.
