Giacomo Morganti, 96 of Muhlenberg Township, passed away June 12, 2025, at Reading Hospital.
He was the widower of Giacomina (Cagnetti) Morganti.
Born on March 5th 1929 in Folignano, Ascoli Piceno, Italy, he was a son of the late Romano and Annunziata (Speca) Morganti.
He was the operator for many years of G&G Mushroom and Morganti Mushroom.
Faith and family were very important to him. He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Giacomo was a dedicated worker who instilled strong work ethics in his children. He cherished his role as a grandfather, relishing the moments spent with his grandchildren. Above all, family was the cornerstone of his life, always taking precedence over everything else.
He is survived by four children: Giuseppina (Gabriele) Coccia, Luigi Morganti, Giovanni Morganti, and Carla (Claudio) Calcagni; eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Giacomo was predeceased by six siblings: Giuseppe, Enrica, Elvira, Umberto, Giovanni, and Livia; and his daughter-in-law, Phena Lois Morganti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605, Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church at the above address. Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Temple is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
