In his early life, he loved having all of his siblings around. They would say that he took pride in his looks, following the fashion of his time. He enjoyed going to parties. In recent years, he continued to get regular haircuts, going to the same haircut place. When there are family parties, he enjoyed dancing with his grandchildren.
Giang loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending all the sporting events (even when it was cold outside), graduations, and performances. He loved the family traditions which included special annual meals like Puerto Rican Pork the day after Thanksgiving and T t. He enjoyed all the chances he had of being around his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Chi Bach; his children Ân (Brett) Groom, Thinh (Judy) Nguyen & Hao Nguyen (Rick Sinkuler); his grandchildren: Jasmine, Maia, Adele & Cara Groom; Anya & Aden Nguyen; and MiMi Sinkuler. Also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Northern Illinois Food Bank, 273 Dearborn Court, Geneva, IL 60134.
