Gianoula Powell Obituary
POWELL, Gianoula Secelia "Nola" -- Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died December 31, 2025. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday January 5, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road , Swartz Creek, Deacon Al Wright officiating. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service at 1 PM Monday, January 5 at the funeral home.
Gianoula was born July 12, 1938 in Flint, the daughter of Daniel John Nichols and Mable Nellie (Marsh) Nichols. She retired from GM with many years of service. She enjoyed her family and loved seeing her grand kids. She enjoyed the holidays with family and her house was always the meeting place. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.
She is survived by her three daughters, Donna (Garland) Riley, Diane (Randy) LaBar, Debbie Hinman; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Curtis Petry; two siblings, Dolores Porter-Chugtai and Daniel Nichols.
