Gibson Boykin

BOYKIN, Gibson Lee, 89, of Glen Allen, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010. A native of Wakefield, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby M. Boykin. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Mae Boykin; his stepdaughter, Ruby B. Walton; three grandchildren, Carolyn Barnhill, Debbie Walton and Gary Palmer; sisters, Frances Boykin and Doris Allshouse; brother, Nelson Boykin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Troubles. The family will receive friends, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where a funeral service will be held Monday, 12 noon. Interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
