Gigi Rose Peters, age 71, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 11:25 pm Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. 

Visitation celebrating Gigi's life will be held 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Big Creek Cemetery in Rensselaer.

Gigi was born on March 15, 1953, in Peoria, IL the daughter of Gregory and Dorine (Ambers) Dothard.

Survivors include her son, Tamen Abbey of Hannibal, MO; brother, Jesse Brezzel (Barbara) of Denver, CO; cousin, Rozena Studer of Springfield, IL and her granddaughter, Cyanah Weatherford; granddaughter, Joenosha Williams; aunt, Vernie Robbins; and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Gigi was preceded in death by a daughter, Rochele Abbey; nephew, Graylyn Brezzel; brother, Edmond Brezzel; and sister, Helen Phtheodule Brezzell.

Gigi was a caring loving lady, who worked as a LPN for over 50 years at local nursing homes, she also managed the Beth Haven Group homes for several years and was also a Substance Abuse Counselor, who helped numerous clients with addiction over the years. 

Away from work, Gigi enjoyed cooking, baking her famous pies for family and friends to enjoy and hosting family gatherings. Gigi's legacy of a loving, caring and always there to lend a hand person, will live on in the hearts of the numerous people she had touched over the years.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rozena Studer to assist the family with funeral expenses.
