Gilbert Fouts Obituary
Gilbert C. Fouts was born Sunday, October 1, 1933 in Ramsey, Illinois the son of Nolan Leonard and Ina Fay (maiden name Beck) Fouts. He was raised in Herrick and attended country school there. Gilbert was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany. He married Betty Rose Brule on January 1, 1957 in St. Elmo. Gilbert was previously employed by Fedders in Effingham and was a member of St. Elmo American Legion.
Gilbert C. Fouts is survived by Wife: Betty Fouts of St. Elmo; Daughters: Elaine Austin (Stuart) of Brownstown and Charlett Fouts of St. Elmo; Granddaughters: JoLana Myers of St. Elmo; JaNisha Myers of Altamont; Shelby Scholes of Farina; and Kendra Blain (Jesse) of Heartville; eleven (11) Great- Grandchildren; Brother: David Fouts of Herrick; Sister: Geraldine Sandoval of Phoenix, Arizona. Gilbert is preceded in death by his Parents; two (2) Brothers: Gene and Bruce Fouts; and two (2) Sisters: Glenda Mae Gottman and Maralia Faulkner.
