He was born on December 31, 1933 to Eduardo Gallegos and Albinita Bonney in Trujillo, NM.
He served in the Navy for 2 years.
He is preceded in death by, Dora and Apolonio Salazar, Eduardo Gallegos, Frank Gallegos, Filberto and Reberta Gallegos, Petrita and Joseph Vinci, Carlos Gallegos and Viola Gallegos.
Gilbert is survived by cousin, Christine Gallegos Chavez (Mike), sister-in-law Pauline Gallegos, brother, Lorenzo Gallegos, brother, Luis Gallegos, brother, Hank Gallegos (Jane), sister-in-law, Annamae Gallegos.
We would to like to give a special thank you to Dorothy Maes, Phillip and Teresa Baca, Cristina Slagle, Mary Maes, Paula and John Lujan, Patsy Lucero, Donika Chavez, Jacqueline Ortega, Shirley Sandoval, Amber care Chaplain and Ashley Borrego.
Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 3:00pm. Funeral will be conducted on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 9:00am both services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Dennis as celebrant. Interment will follow at Tuloso Cemetery in Trujillo, New Mexico with the following serving as pallbearers Fred Romero, Guillermo Castellano, Elmer Pacheco, Phillip Baca, Manuel Gonzales and Erminio Archuleta. Join us for a reception after burial at Olivia's Café in Las Vegas, NM.
