Gilbert Grey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel P.A. - Westminster on Mar. 17, 2026.
Gilbert Lee Grey, 63, of Westminster, passed away on March 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born November 25, 1962, in Bethesda, he was the son of the late Lewis Edward and Gloria Bernice (Whalen) Grey. He was the husband of the late Michelle Grey, who predeceased him in 2021.

Gilbert was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1980. He spent most of his working career as a tow truck driver. Gilbert was a master of many trades, always eager to lend a helping hand or fix whatever was broken. He believed there was no problem he couldn't solve or project he couldn't undertake. Gilbert's love for tinkering was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that reflected his inventive spirit and desire to bring solutions to every problem. He will be deeply missed.

Surviving Gilbert are his children Amanda, Joshua and Alicia; grandchildren Nevaeha, Cayelyn, Carter, Garrett, Isabella and Sofia; siblings Barbara, Lynda, Wayne and Wally; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Patty and Eddie.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.prittsfuneralhome.com.
