Gilbert Malit Obituary
Born in Olongapo, Philippines, and was a resident of Carteret for the past 23 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Centro Escolar University in the Philippines and was employed as a registered nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. Gilbert enjoyed his time on motorcycles and mountain bikes and was an arms enthusiast. Gilbert was known for his sense of humor and infectious personality who was a true child of God. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, in-law and friend who will be deeply missed.
Gilbert was predeceased by his mother, Clarita Malit. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Cheryl Lou Malit; children, Kessler and Kian Seth Malit; father, Ludovico Malit; siblings, Ronald and Alvin Malit and Clarissa Ebueng.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by cremation service at Rosehill Crematory in Linden. Friends and relatives may begin arriving to the funeral home at 9am.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm as well as Monday, April 10, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Thoughts and prayers to family and friends I knew Gilbert from the hospital and he was always such a pleasure to work with always knew how to make everyone smile and laugh constantly and always kind to all he will be missed
