He is survived by his companion Gloria Lopez of Tucson, Arizona; three sons, Jason Miera (Sara), of Prairie Village, Kansas, Adrian Miera (Anne) of Penrose, Colorado, Drake Miera, of Vail, Arizona; his three daughters Celeste Crespo (Antonio) of Leesville, SC, Valarie Miera of Arenas Valley, New Mexico, and Gilberta Miera of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sister Dorothy McInerney (Roger) of Vallejo, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Chester Gilbert Lopez; and his sisters Isabel Miera, and Rose Fresquez.
Visitation will be held at Terrazas Funeral Chapels on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 5-6pm, Rosary will follow at 6pm recited by Patricia Miller. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 12:30pm at Saint Francis Newman Center with Reverend Martin Okonkwo officiating, Interment with full military honors will be at Fort Bayard Cemetery, at 2pm. Pallbearers are Keegan Mize, Ernest J. Venegas, Dylan T. Miera, Lucas Oisten, Skyler Crespo, and Matthew Lopez; Honorary Pallbearers will be Celeste Venegas, Vanessa Venegas, Serena Johnston, Mackenzie R. Miera, Kelsey Olinger, Jessy Gushue, Logan Crespo, Julie Avila and Isabel Miera.
