"Bo" Gilbert Gene Oxley was born on January 21, 1955 in Pineville, Kentucky, the son of the late Ivory Hardy O'Guinn.

On May 14, 1977, he was united in marriage to Janet Pipes, who survives.

Mr. Oxley attended New Harmony Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He worked as a truck driver and loved his job. He loved his dogs and enjoyed watching his son, son in law, and grandchildren logging woods. He liked to be outside fishing, working on his old trucks, and riding his trike and fourwheelers. He also liked to work on his old house "Ponderosa", listen to music, and watch his hummingbirds from his window. Bo loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them.

"Bo" Gilbert Gene Oxley departed this life on December 18, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 27 days. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Oxley of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Jennifer Durbin and her husband Wesley of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Phillip Oxley of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Durbin, Carter Durbin, Axel Durbin, Gracie Oxley; and sister, Lillie Carnes of Barbourville, Kentucky.

Bo was preceded in death by his mother, Ivory Gardy O'Guinn; daughter, Fonstanda Lynn Oxley and grandparents, Gene Hardy and Lillie Hardy.
