Charles Gilbert Taylor Age: 85 Of: White Bluff, Tennessee Passed Away: Saturday October 18, 2025, a beloved husband, community pillar, and dedicated preacher, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85, in the serene surroundings of Pearl of Fairview. Born on July 23, 1940, in Dickson County, Gilbert lived a life rich in love, faith, and devotion to his family and community.
For 65 beautiful years, Gilbert shared his life with his beloved wife, whose steadfast support was a cornerstone in his remarkable journey. Their union was a testament to mutual respect and unwavering love that inspired those around them. Together, they cultivated not only a nurturing home but also a legacy of kindness and generosity that will surely endure.
Known affectionately as the “Pumpkin Man” in White Bluff, TN, Gilbert had an extraordinary talent for raising pumpkins that brought joy to many during the harvest season. His passion for farming extended beyond pumpkins; he cherished the simple yet fulfilling life of working the land, connecting deeply with nature, and sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family.
Gilbert devoted over 30 years to the Church of Christ, where he served as a preacher, guiding and nurturing countless souls in their spiritual journeys. His words inspired hope and solace, and his deep faith radiated through every sermon he delivered. Passionate about logging during his earlier years, he approached each day with a work ethic and dedication that reflected his upbringing and values.
A proud retiree from the Ford Glass Plant after 32 years, Gilbert's contributions extended beyond his professional life. He was a man of the community, always ready to lend a hand or share a story, his laughter echoing through the hearts of those who knew him.
As we bid farewell to Gilbert Taylor, we remember a man who truly understood the essence of life—a man who loved deeply, preached fervently, and lived fully. His spirit will forever resonate in the hearts and lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
