Gilbert S. Torres Jr.

Gilbert S. Torres, Jr., 68, passed away November 20, 2025. Born in Honolulu on March 19, 1957, he was the son of the late Gilbert S. Torres, Sr, Maria Garcia Torres and bonus mom, Harriet Torres.
Gilbert enjoyed Martial Arts. He loved watching Saturday fights all day. He liked to fish and was a hard worker. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. Gilbert was always happy and laughing. He knew everything and was always teaching someone a little something. Gilbert was a big part of our family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gilbert leaves to cherish his memory, children, Gilbert, Joeana and Johnnie; grandchildren, Tatti, Nas, Pele, Santasia, NaeNae, Baby Gil, Gilliano, Lala, Layla, Lani, Baby and Zion; great granchildren, Ty, Nya, Chanelle, Nati, Ani and Acshine; siblings, Malia, Ricky, Dennis, Katie, Ricardo Torres, and Alvin Torres; girlfriend, Barbara Locklear; and a host of family and friends in York and Hawaii, too many to mention, who will always be in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Reid Swinder, Frank Silva and Rosemarie Torres.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St York, Pa 17403. The visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Althea officiating.
