Wayne R. Kyle, Jr. "Rod" passed away at home November 20, 2025. Born February 1, 1967, he was the son of the late Wayne R. Kyle, Sr. and Julia L. Kyle.
Wayne was a man who lived with passion, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, he found freedom on the open road. Riding wasn't just a hobby for him; it was a way of life, a reminder to embrace each day with courage and joy. Wayne had a tender heart and a quiet gentleness that animals seemed to sense instantly. He treated every creature with kindness and respect. His love for animals reflected the compassion he carried into all areas of his life. The mountains were his sanctuary-his place of peace. He treasured the whisper of the trees, and the feeling of being part of something vast and beautiful. It was there that he felt most himself, most grounded, and most at home. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his adventurous soul, and the quiet strength he brought to everyone who knew him. His presence, like the mountains he loved, will forever remain steady in our hearts.
Wayne leaves many to cherish his memory including, his loving wife, Jeanne Kyle; his children, Allen Schaarschmidt, Emily Kleinfelter, Zachary Kleinfelter; step-children, Erie Durst, and Elizabeth Klinedinst; grandchildren, Ava Drust, and Ryker Durst; great-nephew and niece, Christopher Baker, Cayleigh Baker; nieces and nephew, Kelly Washborn (Mt. Joy), Julie Wonner (Dover), Rachael Stynes (Elizabethtown), Logan Stynes (Elizabethtown); siblings, Rev. Tracey Utermahlen and husband Gregory (Dover), Tanja Stynes and husband Trevor (Elizabethtown).
A celebration of life will be held at West Poplar Street Church of God, 919 West Poplar street, York, PA 17401 on January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the West Poplar Street Church Of God.
