Gina Agostini, 70, of
Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away September 6, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Gina was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to John Agostini and Helen "Maxine" (Settle) Agostini. She lived a life full of laughter, love, and resilience. She proudly served in the United States Air Force as a carpenter for 13 years before transitioning to work as a paralegal. She enjoyed several years as a snowbird in Mexico. In 2016, she settled in Duncan. She worked at Storage R Us for many years where she made lasting friendships and continued to brighten the lives of those around her.
Gina was the beloved wife of Michael Fain. She was a devoted mother to Brett Locke and husband Scott Locke of Duncan and the late Helena Gallardo and husband Micah Gallardo. Her greatest joy was being "Yia-Yia" to her grandchildren. She is survived by Brett's five children: Syh Locke, Morgan Locke and his wife Bella, Aiden Locke and his wife Ixchel, Ian Locke and his partner Kristen Thul, and Korpez Locke, and to Helena's two children: Emily Gallardo and Madeline Gallardo. She never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was of her grandchildren's accomplishments.
Gina grew up in a large family with seven siblings. She was preceded in death by Matthew Allen and Nadine Agostini Tuttle. She is survived by her brother Michael Agostini and his wife Kris; two sisters: Jaguar Agostini, and Jolene Agostini; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Those who knew Gina will remember her as fiercely loving, brutally honest, and having the ability to always make others laugh (or blush). She was a steady source of strength for her family. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and just being outdoors. She loved creating art, reading, photography, and music. In her early 20's, she and her sisters formed a band proudly called, "The Butt Sisters."
Gina was in the hospital for several weeks before going home on hospice. Her best friend Tammy visited with her every day before her passing. You were everything she ever wanted in a best friend, and we are incredibly thankful for you. Our family would also like to thank Duncan Regional Hospital, specifically Dr. Miller, Dr. Watkins, Dr. Vonfeldt, Dr. Hemphill, the extraordinary nurses in the Intensive Care Unit, Tower 2 nurses and CNAs, and Chisholm Trail Hospice for taking excellent care of our Yia-Yia.
A memorial service to honor Gina's life will be held on Tuesday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Peercy officiating at Whitt Funeral Home in
Duncan, Oklahoma. A live stream of her service will be available by visiting her obituary at www.whittfh.com.
