Gina Romano Obituary

Gina Marie Romano
October 8, 1963 ~ June 2, 2024
Gina Marie Romano, 60, entered into rest on Sunday, June 2, 2024, surrounded by the love of her daughters, sister, and husband. Daughter of the late RoseMarie Accilli and Paul Benjou, she was born in Manhattan, NY. She later moved to the Hudson Valley and as she would say "lived her best life" in Newburgh, NY.
Gina was welcomed to the world on October 8, 1963. She lived the majority of her life and raised her family in Orange County. There she made the most incredible connections and lifelong friendships. Gina loved to sing, dance, and spend her nights on the boat with her husband Jimmy. Being around Gina always felt like sunshine; she knew how to brighten everybody's day just by being in her presence. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, endless strength, and most importantly the love of her hairspray.
Gina had an amazing work ethic. She loved her small business, Simple Treasures, as well as working as the financial coordinator at Van Vliet Orthodontics. She never stopped working to support her family, even if that meant 7 days a week.
Gina is survived by her loving daughters, Brittany, Jacquelyn, and Danielle Bloomer, her incredible sister Helena Coudrey, her amazing husband James Romano, her beloved grandson Justin Geyer Jr., and her niece and nephews Mark, Michael and Megan Risio.
Per Gina's wishes, a memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 8th at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, NY at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made under Gina's name to Hudson Valley Hospice of Ulster County.
