Ginger Swindle Eaves age 82 of Mathiston, Mississippi passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Skelton Personal Care Home in Mathiston, Mississippi. Ginger was born in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi on September 15, 1942, to Billy Naron Bell and Maudie Lee Wofford Bell. She was a retired beautician and owned her own beauty shop in Mathiston and Maben, Mississippi for many years. Ginger was bold in her faith in Jesus Christ and shared the gospel with whomever she could when she had the chance and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ginger enjoyed cooking, exercising at the Y, enjoyed serving in her local church as a hostess, singing in the choir, and working with Vacation Bible School. She loved children and was known by her family as the “baby whisperer”. Ginger is survived by her husband, Bobby Alford Eaves, Mathiston, Mississippi; two daughters, Debbie (Randy) McCool, Eupora, Mississippi and Christy (Tommy) Massey, Columbus, Mississippi; one son, Scott (Mitzi) Swindle; two step-sons, Teddy (Pam) Eaves, Steens, Mississippi and Ricky (Kathy) Eaves, New Albany, Mississippi; fifteen grandchildren, Julie (Hutson), Brad (Haley), Cody, Alex (Sandy), Craig, Nikki (Casey), Kyle, Lauren (Bradley), Ashley (Will), Matt (Sarah), Parker (Cameron), Currie (Tate), Jason (Kristen), Tyler (Chloe) and Kendall and twenty-four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Swindle; a son, Roger Swindle; great grandson, Walker; both parents, Billy Naron Bell and Maudie Lee Wofford Bell; two sisters, Mildred Thompson and Nellie Mae Frost; and three brothers, James Bell, Robert Bell and Alvin Bell. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ginger Eaves will be at 3:00PM Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00PM until time for services at 3:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora. Rev. Shorty Carden and Brad McCool will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Hutson Ford, Cody Swindle, Alex Swindle, Kyle Swindle, Craig Neal, Casey Patridge, Tyler Swindle, Bradley Nickoles and Will McReynolds. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements.
