Ginger Kay Herrell

Ginger Kay Herrell was born on January 27, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Jack and Margie Barton. It is with great sadness that her children announce her passing on November 26, 2025, at the age of 72 years. She is already greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Shane Allen Walkabout, and daughter Summer Walkabout Baker (James-husband), daughter Sheyenne Nicole Stephens (Dakota-husband); four grandchildren (Parker and Malia McDonell) and (Ava and Mia Walkabout).

Ginger is also survived by her two sisters, Cheryl Stroud and Dawn Talley. She is preceded in death by Jack and Margie Barton (Parents), Jill Pack (Sister), Ron Hudson (Brother), and Amy Renee (daughter).

Ginger found her greatest happiness in the simple things in life. She loved shopping and little outings out with friends. Her two best friends, Cheryl and Dawn, were constant companions and meant the world to her. The three of them shared countless memories -watching football, TV shows, laughing, talking, and enjoying each other's company. For over 20 years, they held a cherished tradition of gathering once a week for dinner, a routine she looked forward to and treasured deeply.
