Ginger Keeton Rardon, 81, of Ashland, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord, January 31, 2026, following a short illness. Ginger was predeceased by her loving husband, Carl. They had a wonderful life together for 58 years, and they were deeply in love. She was the daughter of the late Walter & Mary Lou Keeton with whom she had a special relationship. She was also predeceased by her brother, Charles Randy (Mary Alice), and sister Jill & brother in law Ernie (Dryden). She will be missed by her family including: her children Susan (the late Bob Rose), Kim (Phil Metzger), and Jason Rardon (Rachel); her grandchildren David (Caitlyn), Lauren (Tony Brown), Joe (Hannah), and Ethan; her great-grandchildren Olivia, Noah, Samuel & Emma; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving brother & sister in law, Greg Keeton (Linda) who were devoted to her, and her them.

Ginger was born, in 1944, in Ashland, KY. She graduated from Boyd County High School where she made many long lasting friends. She met her beloved Carl, and they made a life together always based in family & Christ. Ginger made a career out of banking, and she very much enjoyed the friends that she made through her years at Third National Bank, and Member's Choice Credit Union. Carl always gave her great credit in opening their family business, Rardon's Barber Shop, and its success throughout their lives. She was a member of Ashland First Church of the Nazarene her entire life, and her church was always important to her. Through the years, she served on many committees, and she shared her experience in banking by assisting with finances of the church throughout her life. She had a love of music, and a wonderful singing voice. She sang in the church choir, and the ladies quartet with friends for many years. She was a great believer in the power of prayer. And, if you were lucky enough to call her family or friend, she prayed for you. She was a believer in positive thinking, and that guided her life.

Ginger's greatest joy was her family, and she loved spending time with them. After retirement, she and Carl enjoyed traveling. They especially enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, and Florida. In particular, Madeira Beach, Florida became a favorite spot for them. They enjoyed countless trips to Florida, and she loved sitting in the sand looking out at the waves. She thought of the beach as her "happy place". She often spoke of the peacefulness of the beach, and how she loved her time there with family & beach friends.

Ginger enjoyed many hobbies. Some of her favorites were Kentucky basketball, crochet, & attending ball games of her grandkids. She was a faithful Wife, Mother, Daughter, friend & Grandmother.

Ginger's life exemplified kindness and generosity. She always put others before herself. She loved with all she had, and she left an indelible print on every life she touched. She was always prepared to lend a hand to a friend, and her kindness and loving nature was a hallmark of her life. A beautiful soul that can never be replaced. She will be missed by all who knew her. We take solace in knowing she is in heaven, and we will see her again.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Steen Funeral Home - Central Avenue Chapel with words of comfort by Pastor Kevin Campbell. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
