GISELA A. FLORENTINE (nee Kezele) age 81, beloved wife for 57 years of John; loving mother of John Jr. (wife Kelly) and Jeffrey; devoted grandmother of Beckett; cherished daughter of the late George and Martha (nee Struve) Kezele; dearest sister-in-law of Kathy and the late William Weikart.
Gisela was born in Frankfurt, Germany on May 18, 1943 and immigrated to the United States in 1948. Her educational journey included earning a diploma from Lee M. Thurston High School in 1961 and a master’s degree from Michigan State University in 1967. With her loving approach to life, Gisela married her sweetheart John, raised two precious sons, John Jr. and Jeffrey, and delighted in making their home a warm sanctuary for her family and a welcoming destination for their friends. Her heart of gold also extended to animals, especially cats. This gracious lady with impeccable manners was an avid reader, who enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bridge, listening to classical music, traveling and breathing in the beauty of nature. Gisela passed away on February 12, 2025. Although she has left this world, her family will lovingly remember her unwavering support, warm smile and contagious laughter.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 4PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gisela at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY 1-4PM.
