Giuseppe Casali

CASALI, GIUSEPPE passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 13, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born on March 20, 1940, in Chiesanuevo, San Marino to Assunta Pogiali and Guerno Casali.

At 21 years old he immigrated to Detroit where he used his education in Carpentry to build his life in the United States of America. Shortly later, he wed the love of his life Giovanna. Together they spent 53 wonderful years, raising 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. As a master-finish carpenter he took great pride in his craft, he was a perfectionist in his work and inspected every detail. He was a longtime member of the Detroit Carpenters Union. He was a proud member of the San Marino Club; he enjoyed spending time with family and friends reminiscing of his younger days in San Marino.

Pino or Pinuccio as his loved ones called him, loved nothing more than being on his swing and tending to his garden. A man of few words, he had a gentle soul and a kind heart. He was loved by many.

He is survived by his loving wife Giovanna, loving father of the late Lisa Casali, Tina (Paolo) Guidi and Sabrina (Ryan) Swoish, proud Nonno of Matteo, Juliana, Gianna, and the late Dominic. Dearest brother of Antonio (Raffaella) Casali, Rina Casali, and Giovanni Casali. Also survived by many admiring nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday 3-8pm with 7:00pm Rosary at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Funeral Monday Instate 9:30am San Francesco 22870 S Nunneley Rd. (S of Metro Parkway and E. of Gratiot) until time of Mass at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to the Alzheimer's Association. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
