Gladine Mannel Obituary

Gladine Joy Mannel

Gladine Joy Mannel was born in Saint Louis, Missouri Thursday, December 24, 1936, to Gladine Gamble and Glenn Finch, adopted by Nathan Forsburg, they moved to Albuquerque, NM while young. Filled with adventure and creativity, Joy lived life to the full.

Joy courageously raised three sons as a single mom in the 60's & 70's and did a great job. Her marriage to Bob Mannel lasted due to their faith in Jesus Christ. She loved quilting, ceramics and other crafts. She loved her lunch bunch friends from Hoffmantown Church and Albuquerque First Baptist Church. She loved traveling with friends and playing games, and in her wilder times, car racing and rabble-rousing with friends.

After coming to faith, she volunteered at Noonday mission, Joy Junction, housed visiting missionaries, Hurricane Katrina cleanup, and anywhere she could help. She peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and son, Robert Woffard. Surviving her are sons, John (Sandy) Woffard of Rio Rancho, NM and David (Donna) Woffard of Waco, TX, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Ginger.

There are no services, but she would love her friends to gather and remember their times together. Donations to support Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Shelter would be dear to her heart. She was truly a joy to everyone she met.
