Gladys Rebecca Daniel

Gladys Rebecca Daniel 82, of 18360 Virgil H Goode Hwy., Rocky Mt., Virginia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6 at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Appomattox County, she was a daughter of the late William Anderson Daniel and Gladys Wright Daniel. She is preceded in death by one brother John Junior Daniel. Gladys is survived by one brother Robert A. Daniel, three sisters Ellen P. Mays, Jennette Christian, (all of Appomattox) and Bettie Pennix, Temple Hills, MD.; one aunt Lockie Burns, District Heights, MD. Also, she is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

After Gladys's mother passed away, her Aunt Jeannette Wright Pollard, aunts and other relatives assisted her father William with raising her and her siblings.

Gladys always attended the church services where she resided. She always had a pleasant smile and provided assistance when needed. She enjoyed Bingo, arts and crafts, word puzzles, and social gatherings.

The LORD is My Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

The Family

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 11 a.m. at the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery, 6074 Watt Abbitt Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522
