Gladys Dean Fletcher, age 97 of Eupora, MS, received her heavenly reward and met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3, 2025, surrounded by her family at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Gladys was born in Choctaw County, MS on February 16, 1928 to William Josh Dean and Ruthie Mae Bright Dean. She was a homemaker and believer in Lord Jesus Christ. Gladys was a faithful member of the LifePoint Church of God in Mathiston, MS. She loved her Lord and family and enjoyed worshiping with fellow believers and helping and praying for others. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Ethelean Fletcher, Eupora, MS; two sons, Jerry Fletcher, Mathiston, MS and James Fletcher, Eupora, MS; one sister, Edna Ruth Dean Atkins, Stewart, MS; one brother-in-law, Randle Watson, West Point, MS; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Fletcher; both her parents, William Josh Dean and Ruthie Mae Bright Dean and three sisters. Funeral Services to celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Gladys will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at LifePoint Church of God in Mathiston, MS. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora, MS from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Her body will also lie in state at LifePoint Church of God on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County, MS. Bishop Michael Mann and Rev. James Wells will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Tommy Adkins, Dakota Burton, Ricky Miles, Rodney Miles, Ronnie Tisdale and Mike Watson. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Fletcher family.
