Gladys Elizabeth Fields Orange

Gladys Elizabeth Fields Orange, 100, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on July 18, 1925, Gladys lived a full and vibrant century. A talented artist and creative spirit, she found joy in painting and quilting, and was affectionately known for crafting her beloved Raggedy Ann dolls. Faith was the cornerstone of her life. Gladys was a devoted, lifelong member of Central Baptist Church, where she served her community with a servant's heart. She gave of her time generously, receiving and arranging flower deliveries and bringing comfort to many by visiting the sick and shut-ins. Her spirited nature also shone through as a proud member of the church bowling team. She was a kind and generous woman, and all who knew her loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leslie Orange, and two of her children, Leslie Vernon Orange and Peggy Ann Orange. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Orange Digney; her two grandchildren, Jennifer Digney Jamison and Garrett Martin Digney; her cherished great-granddaughter, Lilah Shae Rutkowski; her brother, Ralph Fields; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens,12609 Patterson Ave., at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Central Baptist Church, 1500 Courthouse Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23236
