Gladys Carroll Pernell, age 87, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born on June 5, 1938, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that made her happiest. She was a devoted longtime member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ.
She cherished her family and her husband. Gladys enjoyed traveling and could often be found at the lake, on a beach trip, or somewhere enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. She loved fishing, reading a good book, and sharing laughter over meals; especially at her favorite place, a Chinese buffet. If she ever had the privilege of choosing where the family would eat, everyone already knew where they were headed.
Gladys leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and precious memories that her family and friends will forever hold close.
