Born on June 11, 1940, Cecil was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who loved his family deeply. His greatest joy in life was spending time with those he loved, and he will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and quiet strength.
Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard, carrying that same sense of duty and responsibility throughout his life. He later retired from Southwest Times Record, where he worked faithfully for 25 years as a Distribution Manager.
He attended Bakers Grove Baptist Church and the NCA and appreciated the fellowship and connections he found there.
Cecil’s life was defined by dedication to his family, his work, and his country. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and commitment that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation: will begin on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5 - 7 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.
Funeral Service: will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, from the Chapel of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.
Interment: will follow at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to
