LILESVILLE - Gladys Regina Scott, daughter of the late Portia Madora and Albert D. Wallace, was born on August 16, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of four children, Eugene, Portia and Harold all of whom preceded her in death.

She was educated through the Philadelphia School System. 

In 1961, Gladys married the late Willam T. Scott, Jr. 

In her early career, Gladys worked in a garment factory. In 1972, she took an apprenticeship position for a gourmet grocery store and became a butcher, until she retired in 2010. Gladys was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She touched the lives of many, who affectionately called her Mom-Mom. She was kind, nurturing, funny and dedicated to her family. 

She leaves to cherish her life; four children, Dwight (Marsha), Michelle (Stan), Gerald (Theresa), and Carl (Marion); four grandchildren, Lateeka, Niau, Jamil (who preceded her in death), Jasmine and extended grands; seven great-grandchildren, Kharyn, Korbynn, Ryder, Milana, Lehlani, Giovanni, Kumali, and extended great-grands; extended family, Greg (Stephanie), Regina AKA “Sissy” (Elliott) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
