Glen Bennett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory - Bogalusa on Dec. 31, 2025.
Glen Shelton Bennett, age 50, of Franklinton, Louisiana passed away tragically on December 29, 2025.

Glen was a devoted and loving father whose greatest pride and joy was his one and only son, Lincoln Memphis Bennett.

He spent all of his time with Lincoln, building a close bond and a lifetime of memories. Together, they attended Cruising the Coast every year, took trips to Tennessee and Margaritaville, traveled for Lincoln's baseball games, and rode dirt bikes. Glen showed his love through every moment they shared in these 12 short years.

Glen took great pride in his work restoring cars, trucks, 18 wheelers and Rvs. He had a profound love for old cars and hot rods that developed as a young man.

He is survived by his son, Lincoln Memphis Bennett; his brother, Leslie Bennett; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Estelle Bennett; his mother, Melinda Diane Adams; his brother, Floyd Bennett; and his sister, June Bennett.

Glen will be remembered for his witty jokes, his endless conversations, and the unconditional love he had for his son and for the special bond they shared.

Visitation will be at Poole and Ritchie Funeral Home on January 3rd from 9:00am - 11:00am. Service starting at 11am with Brother Leon Hickman officiating. Burial to follow at Sheridan cemetery.

A gathering to celebrate Glen's life will be held immediately after at Curt and Kristina Rome's home at 20858 Lee Rd. Franklinton, La 70438.

Pallbearers: Raymond Bennett, Curt Rome, Justin Bennett, Billy Joe Sumrall, Ben Husser, Tommy Bickham
