Glen LeRoy Case
December 1, 1917 – September 5, 2012
Glen LeRoy Case passed away on September 5, 2012 at his home in Orem, Utah after having lived a long and productive life of ninety-four years. Glen was born on December 1, 1917 in Panguitch, Utah to Marion Francis and Tora Burr Case. He married Alice Wilma Case on April 13, 1938, and they were the proud parents of seven daughters and four sons. Glen was educated in Annabella and Monroe schools. He worked at the gypsum plant in Sigurd for several years before moving to Utah County, where he worked for Orem and Lindon cities until his retirement. After retiring, Glen worked for the LDS church as a custodian.
Glen served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he served in the South Pacific. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending many hours in the mountains with his family and friends. Glen also found great pleasure in horse racing and bowling.
Glen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In May 12, 1989, he married Odessa White Case in Wendover, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS temple on November 13, 1993. He was also sealed to his first wife, Wilma Case, the mother of his children. Odessa and Glen shared twenty-three years together and many special memories.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Tora Case; fourteen siblings; his first wife, Alice Wilma Case; two sons, Bobby LeRoy Case and Rodger Glen Case; two grandsons, Roger Michael Anderson and David Neil Anderson; and a son-in-law, Donald Redmond. He is survived by nine children: Darlene (Roger) Anderson of Payson, Utah; LeeAnn Redmond of Murray, Utah; Joyce Taylor of Orem, Utah; Janet (Jimmy) Norman of American Fork, Utah; Sheila (Ron) Evans of Sandy, Utah; Gordon (Claudia) Case of Lindon, Utah; Sherrie Childs of Provo, Utah; Penny (Wayne) Robison of Orem, Utah; and John Rex (Gloria) Case of Provo, Utah . Glen is also survived by four step-children: Sherry (Lorin) Measom of Orem, Utah; Karrie (Gary) Robinette of Canby, Oregon; David (Vicki) Archibald of Newberg, Oregon; and LaChelle (Stephen) Canfield of Nephi, Utah. Among those who will miss him are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cascade LDS 5th Ward, located at 1051 East 200 North in Orem. Viewings will be held at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home located at 646 East 800 North in Orem, Utah on Sunday, September 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
