I am sincerely distraught by the passing of my co-worker of twenty years, who was also a friend to my wife and children. As I attempt to prepare a note for the guest book I remember a reference letter that I composed, which I desire to share. A day in his life:

Subject: Reference Letter Glen C. Dafcik

I am very pleased to write this letter of reference on behalf of Glen Dafcik in my capacity as Director of Business and Support Systems of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Overall, I believe Glen to be a skilled, thoughtful, and thoroughly professional Information Technology expert, which I will briefly elaborate on below.

I have known Glen as one of my key employees for nearly twenty years. I first got to know him when he helped us convert the HR, payroll, and scheduling applications for Y2K and later converted all hotel, casino and security software systems for Trump Taj Mahal, Plaza and Marina Hotel and Casino Resorts. On those projects I was impressed by his initiative and his thirst for knowledge. He also showed strong analytical and problem solving skills.

During the years that Glen has worked with me at TCS, I have always been impressed by his outstanding diligence and his high level of technical expertise. Indeed, I have been more than satisfied with our working relationship. During this period, I also had the great pleasure of watching him blossom from a junior software developer into a fully functioning business-oriented Principal Software Architect who played the primary architecture and software management role on some of our company's key projects. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and technical innovation that Glen demonstrated on our FinCen BSA CTR / SAR electronic filings, casino credit automation and hotel / POS interface projects.

Not only is Glen highly intelligent, he also is very hard-working. He has tackled every project assigned to him with enthusiasm and competence. He invariably understands exactly what a project is all about from the outset, and how to get it done quickly and effectively. He consistently produces superior quality work, on time, and within budget targets. In my estimation, Glen is a true example of the type of employee that every employer wants: accountable and responsible, with a superior work ethic and a high degree of integrity.

In closing, I recommend Glen C. Dafcik very highly for any position in the IT field that involves complexity and creativity, with high quality requirements. He is an exceptionally bright and hardworking person who will do his very best to do an outstanding job for whomever he works. If I may be of further assistant with regard to Glen,

Glen you may be gone but never forgotten.

My heart sank when I heard the news. Glen was always an upbeat, happy man. I loved his laugh and he will be missed by so many. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and his strength was his character. To his family, I am praying for you. Rest in Peace Glen, you will be truly missed.

To the Drogo-Dafcik family;
I recently heard of Glen's death through my 'siscuz; Karin Blasko. Although I haven't had much contact in many years with the East Coast family, my heart still goes out to all the friends and family of Glen. My mother (Calogera "Carrie" Drogo-Marcus) was very fond of her aunts and enjoyed a vacation to Sicily with Aunt Lisa and Aunt Phyllis a few decades ago--which were told with such love and enjoyment that the trio shared there. I am truly saddened by anyone's "early" death as Glen was still quite young --but sometimes life is fulfilled early on and when God calls one of us in we go with thanks in that life was given and enjoyed, shared by many of those we give our hearts. My love always goes out to my distant relatives as if they were nearby and indeed it brings tears to my eyes as I am sure it does to all his loved ones near and dear. Godpeed Glen, with heartfelt words, West Coast "Cousin" Lauren (Drogo-Marcus) Ibrahim.

Spread Love.
Found out we lost a good friend, co-worker of almost 30 years on Friday. Ran off road in car after work. No one else around and no other cars involved. Great loss for me and his co-workers, neighbors, and friends. Family truly devastated. They have lost brother, uncle, friend and compatriot.
Mr. Glen is a gem. Still lives on in my heart and mind. Bright presence to lift a fallen spirit, help soothe bruised mind and body.
Stevie Wonder said it beautifully, "For all we know we may never meet again. Make this moment sweet again. . . ." Spoke to him earlier this week and we joked and fooled around as usual. He was high on life and living. Glad to be alive. As always I left feeling like I had been uplifted for having spoken to him. Was planning on meeting when weather got warmer and I could get out again. . . . Love You, Mr. Glen. SIP. Your Friend. Papa Dee.

To my dear Cousins & family,
There are no words to describe this feeling. We are so sorry. We grew up together & I will always cherish the time we spent together laughing & playing. We send love & strength to the family.
Glenny, rest in paradise. Love you always. Cousin Karin Sciore Blasko & Victor Blasko
