Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro ChapelGlen David Edge, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on September 16, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1954, in Aurora, Colorado. Glen spent a significant portion of his life to serving his community and sharing joy with those who crossed his path.
Glen enjoyed a fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service, from which he retired in 1999. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life; he was a veteran, having served honorably in the Navy. His military experience shaped his sense of duty and discipline, which he carried into all aspects of his life.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Glen will remember him for his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. He took great delight in helping others, particularly the elderly, whose stories and wisdom he cherished. Glen was characterized by his loving nature and remarkable patience, traits that endeared him to everyone around him.
A passionate lover of the great outdoors, Glen found solace and adventure in hiking, backpacking, camping, and biking. He embraced every opportunity to connect with nature, often working in his yard, where he found joy and beauty in nurturing the environment around him. His artistic side shone through in his love for drawing, providing yet another outlet for his creativity.
Glen's life was marked by significant accomplishments, including his appointment as a congregation Elder and Local Design Construction overseer, a role that spoke to his deep commitment to his faith and community.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Patricia Edge, and their cherished son, Benjamin and wife Donieal Edge. Glen was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, who will forever hold fond memories of their time spent with him. He is survived by his brother, Howard Edge, and his stepmother, Pat Edge, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, all of whom will miss his warm smile and generous spirit.
A memorial service to celebrate Glen's life and legacy will be held on October 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Littleton, Colorado. Glen David Edge touched many lives during his time with us, and his memory will continue to inspire love, kindness, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of life.
