Glen Fleegle Obituary

Glen R. Fleegle, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away on March 10, 2026. He was born on Oct. 4, 1942, in Elizabeth, a son of the late George Fleegle and Amanda Herbest Fleegle. Glen was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. He worked as a meat cutter for Maraccini's in Elizabeth. Glen was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and in his free time he liked to garden and cook. Most of all, Glen cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who referred to him as "Happy Pappy." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Grant Fleegle and Phillip Fleegle; and one sister, Beverly Salzer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Novak Fleegle; one son, Shawn Fleegle; one daughter, Jennifer Vitsas (husband, Christopher); three sisters, Ruth Greenwald (late husband, John), Barbara Pierce (husband, Joe), and Linda Risku (husband, Bill); and four grandchildren, Kaylee, Kenzie, Robert "Fox," and Grantland. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1 PM, with interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Glen's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
