Glen Owen Hanson

Glen Owen Hanson, age 63, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his home in Humboldt, Tennessee.
Glen was a beloved son, brother, and friend, who had a gentle, giving spirit and was always willing to help anyone, anytime, if needed. Although he was quiet by nature, he loved his family, friends, and co-workers, which he demonstrated as often as he could.
He is survived by his sister, Melody Monroe, (nee Hanson), two brothers, Bryan Hanson and Craig Hanson, along with their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Hanson, and brother, Robert Hanson, Jr.
On April 25, 1962, Glen was born near Los Angeles, California. At the age of 9, he moved with his family to Plymouth, Massachusetts. After graduating from Plymouth Christian Academy, Glen traveled to South Carolina to attend Bob Jones University. Glen continued his travels to various states as his career in the food industry grew. Over the years, his employment included General Manager, District Manager, and Director of Human Resources and Training. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Charter Foods Inc as a Training Specialist. In addition to his career, Glen enjoyed spending time with family and friends; traveling; his various hobbies such as playing paintball and adding to his various collections; as well as, reading about American History.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
For those who knew Glen, his impact on their lives will long be remembered. For his family, he will always be loved and greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting that a donation be made in Glen's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
