Glen Nelson Robinson

Glen Nelson Robinson, age 70, of Hay Drive, Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Friday, March 13, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 16, 1955, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Eddie Nelson Robinson and Peggy Hurst Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell Scott Robinson and Douglas Ray Robinson; and one sister, Cheryl Lou Donahue.

Glen is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Rhonda Butler Robinson, whom he married December 27, 1974; one daughter, Kristy Layne; one son, Jonathan (Erica) Robinson, all of Hillsboro. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Teagan Layne, Brant Layne, Seth Layne, Annabelle Robinson, and Cooper Robinson; and two great-grandchildren, Laila and Weston Wagoner.

Other survivors include two sisters, Beverly (Stephen) Sanders of Morehead and Melinda (David) Andrews of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends. A special thanks to Kara Cooper, Marsha Hunt, Melinda Andrews, UK-St. Claire Hospice, and Vascular Dementia Association.

Glen retired from Link-Belt Construction Company in Lexington as a master electrician and welder. He also served as a Flemingsburg Police Officer and as a Fleming County Deputy Sheriff. Glen was a member of Lower Rock Lick Enterprise Baptist Church and a former member of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed farming, working, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, Glen cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Hutton Funeral Home with Pastor Willie Skaggs officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.

Honorary pallbearers will be Teagan Layne, Dalton Wagoner, Brant Layne, Seth Layne, Bruce Layne, Annabelle Robinson, Cooper Robinson, Jeff Hay, Jonathan Hay, Justin Hay, Scott Duke, Ricky Lewis, Gerald Saunders, Danny Jent, and Ricky Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Fleming County High School, FMD (Students with Disabilities), 1658 Elizaville Avenue, Flemingsburg, KY 41041.
