Glenda Marie (Lenox) Anderson, 86 of West Salem, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 16, 1935 to Ernest and Harriet (Nelson) Lenox in LaCrosse, WI. She was one of a set of twins, her twin sister died shortly after birth. While still in high school she met her husband Lyle at the La Crescent Apple Fest, it was October 4, 1952. She graduated from Logan High School in 1953. On September 1, 1956 they were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in LaCrosse. From that union they had two sons. From 1961 to 1974 they lived in Rothschild, WI. In 1974 they made their home in Arvada, CO. until moving to West Salem in 1998 to be closer to their son.

Family has always been important to her. All holidays and many Sunday dinners were with family. She was a loving and involved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She very much enjoyed cooking and baking for them. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and spending time in her flower gardens. She was very active in the churches she attended. She was involved in activities, choir and committees. She took great pride in keeping thechurch kitchen clean and organized.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lyle; Son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jill Anderson of Tomah, WI. Grandsons and families; Paul and Liz Anderson and their children, Eleanor, Henry, and Nolan of Weatherford, TX, Patrick and Beth Anderson, daughter Genevieve of Chatfield, MN, John and Tia Anderson and their children, Roy and Margaret of Osseo, WI. She is further survived by her sister Marilyn Jones of LaCrosse and two nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, twin sister and most importantly her son Michael.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1901 E. Church Road, West Salem, WI.
