Glenda Gail Ardoin, born on Thursday, August 24, 1944, in Mamou, Louisiana, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025 in Jennings, Louisiana. A dedicated nurse for over 30 years, Glenda made an enduring impact on the lives of many through her compassionate care and unwavering commitment to her profession. Funeral services will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Church Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Fr. Casey Dugas officiating services.
Glenda’s vibrant personality was characterized by her energetic approach to life and dedication as a hard worker. Glenda found joy in simple pleasures; she loved swinging on her porch, working in her yard, and nurturing her garden of flowers. An avid reader, she cherished moments spent immersed in books and adored spending time in nature, particularly enjoying the beautiful colors of fall. Her fondness for animals was evident in her special affection for her parakeets, which brought her much joy.
Glenda is survived by her beloved family, including her two sons, Paul Robert Eppley and John David Eppley, and her daughter, Deborah Eppley Guillory (Samuel). She was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and the doting great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Glenda's loving brothers, Rodney Deville (Kathy), Ricky Deville (Angie), and Alexandre Deville, Jr. (Jane); sister, Joyce Dupre; as well as her brother-in-law, David Monier, will remember her warmth and vigor.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Alexandre Deville, Sr. and Edna Fontenot Deville, along with her sisters, Earlene Deville Guillory, and Diana "Sue" Monier; and nephew, David Scott Dupre.
The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during a visitation at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Glenda Gail Ardoin will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, commitment to her family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she left behind.
