Silton "Hollywood" Ardoin passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at the age of 66. He was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana, born on October 21, 1958, to Seldon Ardoin Sr. and Mary Dell Ardoin.

Silton was a devoted father with a kindred spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his early years to offshore work and took great pride in everything he did. Above all, he protected and provided for his family. He believed in building a legacy through his labor and lived by the principle found in Proverbs 13:22: "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."

Though small in stature, Silton was strong and full of common sense. A true country boy, he knew how to work with what he had and could fix just about anything-no instructions needed. His hands were skilled, and his mind was sharp.

Silton was passionate about riding his lawnmower and keeping his yard immaculate. It was a source of pride and joy for him. He was family-oriented, and his loved ones held a special place in his heart.

Known as the life of the party, Silton loved to have a good time. Whether it was cooking, watching football, or telling jokes, you were bound to leave him with a smile. He had a special way of bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome.

His passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and community. He is survived by his two children, LaTochia A. Childs (Adrian) of Opelousas, LA, and Jenella Hairston (Rickie) of Lafayette, LA. He also leaves behind three bonus children: Jordan, Ernest, and Trevor, and his companion Shameika Ardoin, all of Ville Platte, LA.

Silton was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren. He also leaves behind one sister, Enola Ardoin, and one brother, Michael Ardoin Sr. (Andrea), both of Ville Platte, LA, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Ann Gallow and Patty Ann Ardoin, and four brothers: Seldon Ardoin Jr., Jimmy Lloyd Ardoin, Johnny Ardoin, and Jimmy Davis Ardoin.

Silton Ardoin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he lived a full and meaningful life, and his memory will live on through the laughter, love, and legacy he leaves behind.
