Glenda Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 9, 2025.
Born on February 17, 1943, to Glen and Twala Tapp in Tuscumbia, AL; Glenda was sent to her heavenly home Tuesday, October 7, 2025. A private service will be held for the family.
Glenda married the love of her life, William R. Brown, on March 28, 1975. She carried a card-sized copy of their marriage certificate in her purse all her life, so she could keep it close. She graduated Larimore Business School, and later owned and operated, with her husband, Browns Radio and TV for a number of years. One of her most prestigious jobs was being a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a wonderful homemaker. She was fortunate to have a flexible work schedule, which allowed her to be home when school was out. Glenda loved all children very much and enjoyed feeding her own, as well as the neighborhood children, opening her home as a gathering place for them all. She was a ray of pure sunshine, and it was a privilege to know her. Her journey on this earth was one of friendship, compassion, and love for all. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of many of her family and friends, as well as the lives that she touched.
In honor of her we ask to not remember her by the way of her passing but the way she lived, the way she loved, and the way she has made an impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Along with her loving husband, Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Twala Tapp; sister, Betty Jo Hester; and sister-in-law, Edna Earl Tapp.
She is survived by sons, John R. Brown, Gevin Kenney, and Garrick Kenney (Trina); daughter, Gina Seaman (Anthony Claud); brother, Dale Tapp; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Rest in peace our guardian angel; heaven received an amazing one.
