Glenda Elston Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ewing Funeral Home - Clarion on Dec. 4, 2025.
Glenda K. Elston, 73, of Clarion, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Glenda Kay, daughter of Henry "Hank" and Margarete (McCallister) Williams, was born on January 18, 1952 in Boone.

On November 26, 1976, she married Denny Elston. Glenda worked for many years at Asgrow, and later served as assistant manager at the Casey's store in Clarion. Later in life, Glenda earned her GED, a milestone she celebrated with pride.

When rheumatoid arthritis made working difficult, Glenda devoted her time to caring for her granddaughters, Kenzie and Rillie. She loved her girls to the moon, the stars, and back. She was devoted to her family and always put them first. Glenda treasured her Friday shopping days with her sister. She was also a big supporter of her sons and husband in their dirt-track racing over the years.

Glenda was a very independent woman who even with her arthritis, never complained of pain and lived life to the fullest.

Glenda is survived by her husband Denny Elston; sons Roger Haupt Jr., and Dusty (Tami) Elston; grandchildren Christopher (Kami), Mackenzie, and Rillie; great-granddaughter Haisley; sister Gloria (Bruce) Wilson; sister-in-law Linda Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry "Hank" and Margarete (McCallister) Williams; Denny's parents Gene and Betty Elston; step-father Gene Godwin; and brother Richard "Bud" Willams.
