With loving memories, we announce that Glenda Lucille George transitioned to her heavenly home on November 20, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on February 10, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Glenda was the beloved daughter of Gilbert Monroe Pearson and Mildred Chase Pearson.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny George Jr., her daughter Tammy Sutherland, her sister Margie Parker, her brother Charles Pearson, and her sons-in-law Fran Hichens and Kenny Sutherland.

She is survived by her daughter Shannon Hichens, her grandchildren Alyssa Hichens, Sarah Quattlebaum (Joel), Johnathan Hichens, Andrew Hichens, Cris Hichens, Randy Sutherland (Stephanie), Joseph Sutherland (Rachel), Steve Sutherland, and Kenny Sutherland. Her great-grandchildren include Ariella Quattlebaum, Cameron Sutherland, Laikynn Sutherland, Destiny Hataway (Haden), Hailie Jolly, and Eva Jolly. She is also survived by her siblings Michael Pearson (Patricia) and Pat Harvell (Bobby). Two special friends, Wanda Wallace who she shared a sisterly love for more than 60 years, and Shirley Warner, who sealed their friendship at a very young age with a pinkie blood promise.

A woman of deep faith, Glenda was a member of CrossPoint Church in Conway. She attended services in person until her health made it difficult to drive. She faithfully watched them online, never missing a sermon.

Glenda cherished her late-night phone calls with her granddaughter Alyssa and her dear friend Wanda. She also loved spending time with her great-granddaughter Ariella, building forts and playing in makeup together.

Glenda was known for her love of animals, especially her beloved dogs Buffy, Precious, and Coco. At her request, Coco will be laid to rest with her.

Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Her funeral will follow on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 9:30 AM at CrossPoint Church in Conway by Pastor Paul DeHaan, followed by interment at noon at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. An online guestbook is available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com.

Live streaming for those unable to attend can be found on CrossPoint Church's Facebook page.

Glenda will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, her faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
