In Loving Memory of Glenda Faye Thomas
On August 21st, 2025, our beloved Glenda Faye Thomas peacefully departed from this world and into the arms of Jesus. Glenda leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and servitude. Born on May 29th, 1950, Glenda was a bright light to all who knew her, impacting lives with her willingness to serve others and shine the light of Christ. Throughout the 75 years of her life, Glenda was cherished as a devoted wife, sister, aunt, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loyal friend.
Professionally, Glenda worked at Lincoln General (now North Louisiana Medical Center) in Ruston, LA for 36 years. She worked in the finance and accounting office as well as doing payroll with Renee Sisemore. She always shared stories of working alongside her colleagues, many who became close friends/family. Personally, you could find her working in her yard/flower beds, reading, watching sports on television, playing card games with her family, and spending time with her sister, Ann. Time spent with a sister is a reminder of the enduring love and support that is always there, anchoring you in the present while connecting you to a past filled with warmth and affection. It's these moments that nurture the heart and soul, making life's journey all the richer. Most importantly she is remembered for serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through her local church, New Prospect Baptist Church of Dubach. There, she could be found serving in the kitchen among other various ministries.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Delton Alexander and Earnestine Dibbler (Harold) and brother-in-law Shelby Cooper.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Thomas; their children, Karen Tapp (Allen), Chris Thomas (Jana), Alan Thomas (Chelsea); grandchildren, Miranda Wingard (David), Joshua and Kailee Tapp, Noah, Porter, Housely and Jace Thomas; great grandchildren, Bella and Chloe Wingard; sister, Ann Cooper; nieces, Kelly Colvin (husband Rod and children Hope (Will) and Josh), Melissa Bruce (husband Cory and children Cooper and Madison). Her unwavering love and support continue to envelop them, as her memory remains a guiding light of strength and resilience.
