Herrin- Glendia Carolene Rednour, 83, of Herrin, formerly of Murphysboro, passed away on June 09, 2025 at 6:45 PM in Herrin at her home.

Glendia was born on August 22, 1941 inDyess Colony, Arkansas to Arthur Steve and Minnie Eva (Scritchfield-Butler) Wheetley. She married Lanny R. Rednour on May 13, 1961 in Carbondale. He preceded her in death on Christmas Day 2022.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her beloved family. Her interests were gardening holistic/ natural medicines, fishing, reading the Bible, singing gospel music with her kids and crocheting.

Additionally, Glendia was a member of Assemblies of God and a woman of faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 9 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children- Lanna Rednour of Herrin, Carolena Leeper and spouse John of Herrin, Jeffrey Rednour and spouse Kim of Marion, Steven Rednour and spouse Katherine of Herrin; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren); sister- Evelyn Burgess of Marion and brother- Avery Wheetley of Seattle, WA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be cremated and memorials may be made to Park Avenue Church of God. Online condolences can be made at www.mccluskiemillerfh.com.
