Glenn Ray Allman

Glenn Ray Allman, 87, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

 

Glenn was born February 27, 1936 to the late Jacob Allman and the late Carrie Eury Allman. 

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd, Ralph, and Fred; sisters, Cora (Gertrude), Marie, and Berniece.

 

He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Glenn was a faithful servant of the Lord who always enjoyed attending his church on a regular basis. He was drafted into the Army where he served for over two and a half years. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and always looked forward to working on the farm. Due to an automobile accident he had been without eyesight for thirty five years, but now, praise God he can see.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2024  at Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church in Mount Pleasant. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Patrick McCabe. Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church Cemetery at 11199   N Carolina Highway 73 East, Mount Pleasant.

 

He is survived by his wife of over 69 years, Sable Johnson Allman; son, Todd (Susan) Allman; daughter, Christi Allman; grandson, Caleb Allman; brothers, Arnold, Carl, Cecil, and Clarence (Buddy); and sister, Mary Catherine.
