Glenn Ira Bender

Glenn Ira Bender, 83, of Humboldt NE, peacefully passed away on May 5, 2024, at his rural home in Humboldt NE.He was born in Weatherford OK on August 21, 1940, son of Henry E and Irene (Nissley) Bender.Glenn was the husband of Anna (Borntrager) Bender, who passed away on February 7, 2021 after 59 years of marriage. On April 22, 2023 Glenn married Darlene (Marner) Kauffman and together they celebrated one year of marriage.Glenn will be lovingly missed by two daughters and seven sons; Mattie, married to Samuel Kauffman, of Gordonville PA; Miriam, married to Leonard Zimmerman; of Middlebury IN, Nelson Bender, of El Dorado Springs MO, married to Kathy, of Ronks PA; Merlyn Bender, married to Lois, of Humboldt, NE; Martin Bender, married to Kristy, of Knob Noster, MO; Dwight Bender married to Rachel, of Knob Noster, MO; Marcus Bender, married to Janet, of Halsey OR; Everett Bender, married to Ruth, of Auburn NE and Roger Bender, married to Rhonda, of Gordonville PA.Two stepsons and two stepdaughters, Allen Kauffman married to Naomi, of Iva SC; Philip Kauffman, married to Elizabeth, of Thompson Falls MT; Lydia, married to Kevin Yoder, of LaVale MD and Edna Wagler of Swansboro, NC.Surviving are 37 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers, Freda Kauffman, of Bevier MO; Treva, married to Clarence Yoder, of Spencer WI; Mary Ellen, married to Albert Yoder, of Kalona IA, David Bender, married to Magdalena, of Aylmer, ONT and Perry Bender, of Kalona IA.Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Anna Bender; sister Barbara and husband Adin C Miller; brother-in-law, Cephas Kauffman and sister-in-law, Verna Bender.
